A customer of a well-known local bank was left confused, bemused, and befuddled after she visited the New Kingston Branch to check on the status of her account.
While waiting in a long line, she was ushered to one of the two tellers on duty at the facility. During the process at the teller, she explain that she had not been to the bank in quite a while and was enquiring about the status of her account. The teller did a quick check and verified that her account is still active.
After breathing a sigh of relief, the customer decided to make a $5,000 deposit to her account, only to be told she will have to pay a $1,000 fee to deposit the $5,000. She was later advised that the Automated Teller Machines are available to do the deposit free of charge.
