COVID-19 UPDATE: Jamaica on Wednesday recorded five COVID related deaths, increasing the tally to 1,080.
According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness the deaths include a 69-year-old female and a 54 year old male both from St. Catherine; a 54 year old male and a 73-year-old male from St. James, and an 85-year-old male from KSA.
Meanwhile 42 new cases were recorded pushing the number of confirmed cases since the 1st case was detected to 50,166
There are now 18,533 active cases of which 106 are hospitalised, with 17 being moderately ill and 11 Critically ill.
And the Ministry also recorded some 118 recoveries pushing the number of recoveries since the pandemic outbreak to 30,192.
