7 COVID Deaths, 46 New Cases, 19,108 Active Cases Recorded On Wednesday

Jamaica on Wednesday recorded seven COVID deaths and 46 new cases, increasing the number of deaths to 1,049 and total case count 49,841.

ROOTS FM NEWS: Jamaica on Wednesday recorded seven COVID deaths and 46 new cases, increasing the number of deaths to 1,049 and total case count 49,841.

The deaths include:

  • An 80-year-old Male from St. Catherine, whose death was under investigation
  • A 50-year-old Female from Clarendon, whose death was under investigation
  • A 21-year-old Female from Kingston & St. Andrew, whose death was under investigation
  • A 62-year-old Male from Kingston & St. Andrew, whose death was under investigation
  • A 71-year-old Male from Kingston & St. Andrew, whose death was under investigation
  • An 89-year-old Female from Kingston & St. Andrew
  • A 74-year-old Male from Westmoreland

With the additional cases and the recovery on 192 patients, the island now has 19,108 active cases.

Of the active cases 122 are hospitalized of which 24 are moderately ill and 9 critically ill.
