ROOTS FM NEWS: Reports have emerged that American sprinter sensation Sha’Carri Richardson may miss this Summer Tokyo Olympic Games after she received an adverse analytical finding for a banned substance.
Its believed that Richardson could serve a one to three-month suspension for the adverse analytical finding.
Richardson’s US Olympic Trials performance was disqualified after being tested positive for a banned substance.
According to reports the test was carried out at the US Olympic Trials.
News of the infringement arrives four weeks before the start of the athletics competition at the Tokyo games sceduled for July 23 to August 8.
Meanwhile Reuter News reported that the American sprinter will not compete at the Diamond League in Stockholm on Sunday, where she had been expected to run in the 200m, according to the event’s entry list.
The News agency said it is not clear why Richardson is not competing.
