ROOTS FM NEWS: The Ministry of Health and Wellness on Tuesday recorded 181 new cases, 3 deaths and 19 recoveries.
This has pushed the number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic to 52,322, deaths to 1,182 and active cases to 3,871.
Of the new cases there were 107 Females and 74 Males with ages ranging from 3 months to 95 years
Kingston and St Andrew accounted for most of the new cases with 52 positives, followed by St Catherine with 41, Westmoreland with 16, St James with 15, 10 in St Elizabeth, 9 in St Ann, 7 in Clarendon and St Thomas, 3 in St Mary and 2 in Hanover.
Meanwhile two males from Kingston & St Andrew aged 65 and 67 and a 55-year-old female from St Catherine were the latest COVID 19 deaths.
Of the active cases 141 are hospitalized with 33 patients being moderately ill and 23 critically ill.
