The Transport Authority (TA) says they have initiated an internal investigation into a video that has been circulating on social media showing an incident involving some of their Route inspectors engaging a noticeably frustrated customer.

In a release on Thursday, the TA said they have taken note of the incident which is a teachable moment that also presents an opportunity to continue to improve how they serve their stakeholders and general members of the public.

The Authority added that shortfalls were recently identified through internal research activities including a Knowledge Attitude and Practice, KAP survey conducted by CARIMAC. Additionally, a process of transformation is underway which should result in improved service delivery of all our team members.

The Transport Authority outlined that they are currently designing an intervention strategy to address the shortfalls they’ve noticed in customer service relations and public interaction.

On Thursday transport stakeholders were concerned about the silence of the transport authority on the matter.
